Thailand consists of 7 regions (Changwat) shown in the image with
7 colors. These are divided into 77 provinces, most of which are named
after the main city of the same name. Note that Nong Khai has been divided
into two provinces, the other is Bueng Kan. These provinces are further
divided into districts, and a district may have more municipalities.
Here is a complete list of information about each province. Some will
wonder about the "Population" column, and say it does not match reality.
That's also true, for many live in Bangkok, for example, but are still
registered with the authorities in another municipality. These are the
official figures.
