My Resorts and Hotels

Here is my list of resorts and hotels that I have visited over the years. At the top you will find a Google map where you can find information about the different places. In the menu you can choose between the 3 areas into which they are divided, Bangkok and surroundings, northern Thailand and southern Thailand.

Hotel La Maison - Hua-Hin

Hotel Thipurai - Hua-Hin

Hotel Thipurai is located on the right side of Soi 67, almost at the end of the road. In terms of price, it is relatively cheap, and cleaning is perfectly fine. A breakfast buffet is usually included, and you can sit and enjoy the food inside or outside, weather permitting.

Resto Sea Resort

Resto Sea Resort is a brand new resort on Ban Krut beach. It is modernly built and consists of some different bungalows, some of which have a spa, others a a small private pool just outside the bathroom. Their luxury suite has a private pool with sea views. It does not get better. The resort was completed in 2020. The experience is reflected in the price level which is at the slightly more expensive end. I visited the resort in February 2020.

Coco Pino Hotel

Coco Pino was formerly called Nana Chart. It has been extensively rebuilt and appears far more modern than the old one. There are both rooms in the main building and smaller bungalows. I visited the place in February 2021, and then there were still craftsmen working here. It appears a bit cheap in some places, but nice. There is a pool down to a lovely beach. In terms of price, it was between 7000 - 2,500 Thb.

Boathouse Paradise

A short drive west of Cha-Am is this fun resort. All the rooms are built on old boats. The boats are clumsy, so even though there is water under the keel, you do not get seasick by an overnight stay here. The resort is located right down to the Kaeng Krachan Lake which is dammed river water up from the mountains to the north-west.
There is also a pool with a lake view. It is a nice quiet quiet place, but in high season there can be a lot of people in the area.

Thai-Bamboo Guesthouse

7-8 Km west of Cha-Am you will find this resort. Pricy it is in the slightly expensive end when it is located far away from town. It has previously been a naturist-friendly resort. (FKK), but it stopped December 2016. The resort consists of 4 cabins, a nice pool and an outdoor kitchen. The price is from Thb 900, - per day (March 2018). It's without breakfast

Talkoo Beach Resort

60 km east of Surat Thani you will find this resort. It consists of a number of houses located with a road between. There is an excellent restaurant and a swimming pool. It is located right down to a lovely beach. Pricing is located at the middle end

Sunshine Paradise Resort

40 km south of Prachuap Khiri Khan you will find this magnificent resort. It consists of various newly constructed / renovated houses, the largest with their own pool. It is located directly down to a lovely beach. There is both restaurant & pool. The resort is expected to be completed in the spring of 2016. Pricely it is located at the expensive end, with prices starting at 1,025 Thb (2017) Prices vary widely after season.

Sirarun Resort

40 km south of Prachuap Khiri Khan you will find this magnificent resort. It consists of quite large houses located with great distance between, and a large pool there is the center. It is located directly down to a lovely beach. Pricing is located at the expensive end, with prices starting at 3,900 to 33,900 Thb (2014)

Rocky Point Ressort

40 Km south of Prachuap Khiri Khan you will find this resort. It consists of single and double houses like these directly down to a lovely beach. There is both restaurant and pool. Pricely, it is located in the middle end, with prices ranging from 1,300 to 5,900 Thb

FuramaXclusive Sandara

In Sha-Am you will find this hotel, formerly known as Unico Grand Sandara. It is a large hotel on 2 floors. There is an excellent restaurant and a pool located between the 2 newer blocks. There is direct access from the rooms on the ground floor. It is located 100 meters from the beach by a road. The area is not with strong traffic. There is also a sauna and gym. Pricing is in the slightly more expensive end - 3,000 Thb for this room 3,650 in the weekend. The Internet is usually useless

Red Z

I visited Red Z on November 11, 2017. It is located on a rather narrow landmark, only 160 meters where it is widest. To the east is the Bangkok Bay and to the west a small fishing village. It is located approx. 20 km north of Cha-Am, and 7 Km south of Hat Chao Samran. The price ranges from 2,299 - 4,275 thb per. day and the place taken into account, it's at the expensive end without quite a lot of stars from my side.

Prachuap Beach Hotel

In Prachuap Khiri Khan you will find this hotel. It is a smaller hotel on 5 floors. To the place there is an excellent restaurant. It is 20 meters from the beach with a road. The area is not with strong traffic. Pricing is in the middle end - 2,000 Thb for a room (2014)

Malai Asia

43 km south of Prachuap Khiri Khan you will find this resort. It consists of some houses like these as well as a hotel directly down to a lovely beach. The surroundings I have seen more beautifully, it is located in the cheap end from 999, - to 2,500 Thb (2014)

Lumra

50 km south of Prachuap Khiri Khan you will find this resort. It consists of some houses like these directly down to a lovely beach. Pricely it is located at the cheap end. It should be noted that Lumra is a naturist resort, the only one in the area. Whether it is still open is per. August 2017 not clear.

Laem Kum

53 km south of Prachuap Khiri Khan you will find this resort. The resort consists of some houses like these and a pool, directly down to a lovely beach. Pricely it is located at the cheap end.

Kasemsuk

53 km south of Prachuap Khiri Khan you will find this resort. The resort consists of some houses like these and a hotel building, directly down to a lovely beach. Pricely it is located in the cheap end from 1,000 Thb to 2,100 Thb per. accommodation. (2014)

Haadsaikaew

50 km south of Prachuap Khiri Khan you will find this resort. The resort was under construction in 2014, why I do not have so much information about the place.

Hua Hin Star Hotel

At the end of Soi 67 in Hua Hin is this smaller hotel. Pricing is in the middle class (1000 - 2,000 Thb) There are several sizes of rooms, from 1-3 beds. Breakfast is included for the larger rooms. I think it's a nice place, it is close to the beach and within walking distance to the city center.

Loligo Resort

In the southern part of Hua Hin you will find this resort. Formerly called the Hua Hin Mantra Resort. Pricing is the middle end. It's a hotel and not as the name sounds a "resort" There are 100 meters to the water, but unfortunately the coast at this end of Hua Hin is not the most exciting. There is both restaurant and pool to the hotel.

Fishermans Resort

The resort consists partly of a hotel and partly a number of different bungalows which are located in a beautiful garden. The price range ranges from 2,300 Thb for a standard room to 9,500 for a family residence by the water. Even a standard room is very well equipped with an extra wide bed, so it's great value.

Chan Resort

In Pattaya you will find this resort. In terms of price, it belongs to the slightly more expensive end with just 12 rooms. The price in 2016 was 2,200 -2,600 Thb per day. Like many other resorts, Chan has been hit by missing guests during the Corona epidemic. In September 2021, they have now started demanding that they be vaccinated against the Corona virus. I do NOT support either yellow Jewish stars or apartheid as we saw in South Africa until the mid-90s.
It is thus doubtful whether I will get there in the future.
It should be noted that Chan is a naturist resort.

Baanmontra

50 km south of Prachuap Khiri Khan you will find this resort. Pricing is a bit expensive at the slightly more expensive end, more options from single room to room to 2 families. The price was in 2014 at 1,700 - 5,000 Thb per day

B P Samila

In Songkhla you will find this hotel. It is a large 6-storey hotel. There is an excellent restaurant and a swimming pool. It is located right on the beach. The price range ranges from the middle price range to expensive suites. The area and the hotel are highly dominated by Muslim presence, so you can look bacon and ham long after for your breakfast.

Blue Sky Boutique resort

23 Km north of Cha Am is a small town called Hat Chao Samran. Here the Thaians will come to when they want to relax. It is located approx. 125 Km from Bangkok, so the drive is quickly completed. There are several small resorts from Hat Chao Samran and Norpå right down to the coast. Blue sky as this resort is called is of a good standard. There are 3 VIP bungalows down to the water, and about 15 behind, all landscaped in a nice garden. Pricing is a bit expensive at the slightly more expensive end, more options from single room to room to 2 families. The price was in 2014 at 3,000 - 4,000 Thb per day.

Bayview Beach

50 km south of Prachuap Khiri Khan you will find this resort. Pricing is in the slightly more expensive end, but they also have some cheap rooms at the back. There are more options from single room to room for 2 families. The price was in 2014 at 1,600 - 5,000 Thb per day.

The resort has been revisited on 10 December 2022

Bansaithong Beach Resort

Bansaithong Beach Resort is located approx. 220 Km south of Hua Hin. The resort is quite big, but when I was there in early January 2017 there were not many guests. It is a resort that is still being built, this time a CIP house with its own swimming pool at the southern end of the property. Your nearest neighbors are a small fishing village 1-2 Km south of the resort, otherwise it's as desolate as anything can be.

Ban Forty

5 km south of Prachuap Khiri Khan you will find this resort. Priced in the cheap end, room with a / c designed for 2-3 people. The price was in 2014 at 1,400 - 1,500 Thb per day.
